Every Bachelor and Master programme at the Faculty of Spatial Sciences (FSS) has its own Programme Committee (PC) in which two or three students take place together with the staff of the faculty. These students are selected by the Pro Geo Board to be their year’s representative, where they will be performing different tasks. Every student studying at the FSS has the opportunity to apply to be part of the Programme Committee of their year, and these applications are typically done in September and October. After each block, the PC meetings take place to evaluate the courses and provide feedback to the faculty.

The PCs are a vital way in which the quality of education at the FSS is improved through discussions of various topics that are relevant to the study programmes. For example, through eviewing and providing feedback on the Teaching and Examination Regulations (Dutch: Onderwijs- en Examenregelingen, OER), receiving feedback and comments from fellow students, representing your fellow students and evaluating the courses and lecturers.
